on the situation.

you have?
We have nature trails, sporting clays, hayrides, wildlife

Upland Hunting
- How do I get my hunting or fishing licenses?
All licenses with the exception of non-resident deer permits
and federal duck stamps are available for purchase on-line
at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks web site.
- When and how long is your bird season?
The season for our controlled shooting area runs from September
1st to March 31st. The regular state mandated bird season
runs from the second Saturday in November to January
31st.
- What is Kansas law regarding Hunter Education?
Anyone born on or after July 1st 1957 is required to have
completed a certified hunter education course to hunt
in Kansas. Approved courses from all other states are
accepted in Kansas. Anyone 27 years or younger must carry
their card on their person while they are hunting. Hunter
education is not required when hunting on controlled
shooting areas. At Tallgrass Lodge, we have an exceptionally
high safety standard and make no exceptions when it comes
to Hunter Education.
Deer Hunting
- Do you charge a trophy fee?
No.
- Can we harvest does?
Yes. We harvest quite a few does a year in an effort to
keep our ratio in check.
- Are mechanical broadheads legal for deer?
Yes. In fact they are legal for turkey too.
