Kansas offers some of the best upland bird hunting in the world. At Tallgrass Lodge, we have access to over 5,000 acres of prime upland habitat.
You can choose to hunt our wild Ringneck Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, and Greater Prairie chickens or you can hunt Ringneck Pheasant and Bobwhite Quail on our controlled shooting area and take advantage of more liberal bag limits.
Either way you are sure to enjoy the legendary upland hunting that has made Kansas famous.

Prepare yourself for the walk of a lifetime. You will be following behind some of the best German Shorthair Pointers, English Pointers, and Britney’s you have ever seen work a field.
We will get you to the field in comfort but from then on, you will be walking, so wear a comfortable pair of boots and please dress appropriately for the season. We typically hunt field edges, food plots, heavy grass, and woodland edges and sometimes the terrain can get steep so come prepared.
Our regular season traditional hunts are the same hunts our great grandfathers used to take our fathers on and our fathers took us on. You will enjoy watching the dogs work for the traditional state mandated bag limits of four cock pheasants, eight quail, and two prairie chickens. Our off-season traditional hunts have more liberal bag limits and are limited to our controlled shooting area.
Our premium hunts are a combination of hunting wild birds and hunting birds released in our controlled shooting area. While in our controlled shooting area you can enjoy more liberal bag limits and even harvest additional birds at an additional cost.
